At around 110 km, Innsbruck Airport is the closest airport to Galtür. The drive takes about an hour and a half, via the Inn Valley motorway A12 to Landeck and then through the Paznaun valley to its end. From €209 per vehicle, the airport transfer from Innsbruck is the cheapest option.
This is our home base: your driver awaits you in the arrivals hall with a name sign, helps you with your luggage and takes you straight to your hotel. If your flight is delayed, we track it – the waiting time costs you nothing.
Munich is one of the largest airports in Europe. Especially when travelling from Germany, from overseas or with low-cost airlines, you will often find the cheapest fares here. The route to Galtür is about 247 km and the drive takes about three and a half hours.
As it often takes a long time to reach the exit at large airports after landing, your driver first waits outside the terminal. After landing he contacts you, and as soon as you have your luggage, he drives straight to the terminal and picks you up there. The fixed price from €519 per vehicle stays the same even in traffic jams.
Zurich Airport is served from all over the world and is often the best choice for guests from overseas, from Northern Europe or with connecting flights. The route to Galtür is about 262 km and the drive takes about three hours. Keep your passport or ID card handy.
As it often takes a long time to reach the exit at large airports after landing, your driver first waits outside the terminal. After landing he contacts you, and as soon as you have your luggage, he drives straight to the terminal and picks you up there. The fixed price from €539 per vehicle applies even in traffic jams or snowfall.
Salzburg Airport is particularly interesting in winter, with many charter and direct flights. It is about 287 km to Galtür, and the drive takes about three and a half hours.
The transfer is particularly worthwhile for families and groups, as you pay from €549 per vehicle, not per person. Your driver contacts you after landing and takes you with your luggage and ski equipment straight to your hotel.
If you have the choice, fly to Innsbruck: shortest drive, cheapest transfer and quickest on the slopes. If you can’t find a suitable flight, Munich, Zurich and Salzburg are good alternatives.

Galtür lies at around 1,584 m at the end of the Paznaun valley, right by the Silvretta. The Silvapark Galtür ski area offers around 43 km of slopes and is considered snow-sure and family-friendly. Ischgl with the Silvretta Arena is only about ten kilometres away.
Good to know for your transfer to Galtür
The Silvretta High Alpine Road beyond Galtür is closed in winter. The journey therefore always goes via Landeck and through the entire Paznaun valley, past Ischgl.
Galtür is quieter than Ischgl but only about ten minutes away. You can also ask us about trips between the villages in the Paznaun.

Innsbruck Airport – around 110 km and about an hour and a half’s drive. Munich, Zurich and Salzburg are further away but often have more flight connections.
Is there also a transfer from Innsbruck Central Station to Galtür?
Yes. If you arrive by train, we pick you up at Innsbruck Central Station and take you privately, without changing, straight to your hotel in Galtür. The travel time is similar to that from Innsbruck Airport. When booking online, simply select “Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof (HBF)” as your pick-up location – you see the fixed price immediately.
How much does a transfer from the airport to Galtür cost?

Is the Galtür transfer a shared shuttle or a private transfer?
Alpstria Taxi offers private transfers only – no shared shuttles or pooled rides. Only you, your family or your group sit in the vehicle. You don’t wait for other passengers and there are no stops at other hotels. As the price is per vehicle and not per person, a private transfer is often even cheaper than a shuttle for families and groups.
Do I have to pay for the Galtür transfer in advance?
No. You pay the driver on the day of travel (cash or card). On request, we can send you a payment link.
How long does the drive to Galtür take?
From Innsbruck about an hour and a half, from Munich about three and a half hours, from Zurich about three hours, from Salzburg about three and a half hours. On Saturdays in high season it can take longer – your fixed price stays the same.

Do you also drive from Galtür back to the airport?
Yes, to all airports. We recommend a pick-up time that gets you to the airport about two hours before departure.
